I did research for this one! With the assistance of a small cadre of Twitterfolk, I determined that tentacles stay more or less the same size and shape, while pseudopods can be extended, retracted, and changed in shape and volume. I don't know if that's the actual biological definition, but as far as the comic is concerned it's the offical Satanic definition.
